The blind hearing the Darkness

Hi there, i am Roy Cox and i am regestered blind with R,P from the town of Westbury in the county of Wiltshire in England. In this article i would like to tell you about a lovely 50TH birthday present that my daughter bought me. Well leading up to my birthday last October i was being badgered on what my daughter could get me for this special time in my life, i did not want a party or a meal out so knowing that i have always liked rock music she bought Tickets for her and her boyfriend and me to go to the Carling Academy in Bristol to see the latest rock sensations The Darkness. I was a bit apprehensive but never the less the night came and off we went, When we arrived at the door and handed in our tickets, noticing my white stick the securety lady who was very nice asked us to wait a moment , blimey i thought she thinks i am a drug dealer or something and i am going to be searched, but no after a few minutes she said to our party follow me and she took us down corridors away from the main hall and brought us out back in, and took us right to the front which was fantastic and my daughter was very pleased as well as you can imagine. There i was surrounded by all these youngsters and just before she left us she tapped me on the shoulder and said to me, with a laugh , now you behave yourself no crowd surfing!. The Darkness came on and they were brilliant and i was bopping with the best of them, it was either that or get crushed ha! By this time i got rather hot so my daughter took me to the back and while she attempted to get to a crowded bar for a drink, she left me bopping again. On her return with some cider she said come this way dad i have been watching you from the bar and you have been cheering and clapping the fire exit door sign at that, i roared with laughter. The night finished and it was wonderful, and i need not of worried as i was informed that there were other, shall we say senior rockers in there and that proves you never lose the taste for good music. The Darkness are currently trying to move in on the American market, if that happens for them they will be very big. In February of this year the three of us also went to see Jethro Tull which was another great night.
All the best from Roy Cox still ROCKING
